TACO BAMBA FAQ

Everything you need to know before you Prepare Your Mouth.

Menu

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes. Vegetarian items are marked right on the menu. No detective work required.

Is anything gluten free?

Our corn tortillas are naturally gluten free, and plenty of fillings are too. That said, we're a real kitchen with shared fryers and prep space, not a gluten-free facility, so if it's a serious allergy, ask before you order.

Do you have vegan options?

We do. The Spicy 'Shroom (chipotle portobellos, grilled corn, pickled onion, pepitas) is our most popular veganizable item — just ask to hold the cheese. Corn tortillas, pinto beans, rice, and most salsas are plant-based on their own, so there's plenty to build with.

Where can I find allergen information?

Every location has its own allergen guide, linked right on the menu page at tacobamba.com/menus. Always mention food allergies before you order.

Do you serve dessert?

Churros. Always churros. Crispy, cinnamon-dusted, and dipped in dulce de leche, plus rotating seasonal special flavors like cookies and cream, pineapple, or strawberries and cream.

Do you serve breakfast?

Every Taco Bamba opens at 8am for breakfast with tacos, tortas, and free coffee made with Café Bustelo. Add an egg to any traditional taco for a buck ("Put An Egg On It"), or go big with The Tighty Whitey: smoked maple chipotle chicken chorizo, eggs, fries, bacon, Alabama white queso, avocado, and sweet chili sauce.

What are the most popular items?

The Taco Bamba Taco, our signature, loaded with skirt steak, chorizo, grilled guacamole, cotija, and chicharron, and The Jeffrey, a crispy meat spring roll stuffed with three kinds of meat and cheese. We also run limited seasonal drops like the Bamba Double Smashburger and Bamba Chili Con Queso, so keep an eye out.

How do I know what seasonal items are currently available?

Seasonal and limited-time items rotate often, so check your location's menu page at tacobamba.com/menus, our app, or our social channels (@tacobamba) for what's running right now.

Is nutrition information available?

Not at this time. We do have allergen guides for every location.

Do you have non-alcoholic beverages?

Yes. Coffee (made with Café Bustelo), fountain sodas, bottled Mexican soft drinks, housemade agua frescas, and mocktails are available.

Is there a bar onsite?

Most locations pour a full bar with margaritas, mezcal, cocktails, beer, and wine. You must be 21+ to purchase alcohol. Please note: Our original location in Falls Church, VA doesn't serve alcohol. You can find the full bar menu here.

Do you have Happy Hour?

Monday – Friday, 4 – 7pm, for dine-in guests at every location except Falls Church and Raleigh. Our City Ridge location also runs a late-night happy hour from 9pm to close. Must be 21+ to purchase alcohol. You can find the full happy hour menu here.

Locations

Where can I find Taco Bamba?

We've got locations across Northern Virginia, Maryland, D.C., Richmond, VA, North Carolina, and Nashville, TN. Our Bethesda, MD location will open in late 2026. Find the one nearest you at tacobamba.com/hours-and-location.

Are your locations ADA accessible?

Yes, every Taco Bamba location is ADA accessible.

Do all locations share the same menu?

Nope, and that's on purpose. Every Taco Bamba menu is tailored to its neighborhood, so you'll find different tacos, tortas, and specials depending on which location you walk into. Half the fun is finding out what your local spot is doing differently.

What's your dog policy?

Every patio is dog friendly. Leash 'em up and bring them along (Springfield is our only location without a patio). When it's in season, we even hand out branded Taco Bamba bandanas so your pooch can declare their taco allegiance too.

Do you have outdoor seating?

Most locations have patios. Springfield is the exception. Check your local spot's page for specifics.

Do you have gender-neutral restrooms?

Yes, at every location.

Is there seating?

Yes, all locations offer dine-in seating.

Do you have wifi?

No. We’ve seen too many open laptop salsa spill disasters.

Do you have TVs?

Most locations do. Falls Church and Fairfax are the exceptions. If you want to watch soccer, it’s probably on.

Catering

Do you offer catering?

Absolutely. We cater everything from birthdays and block parties to board meetings and weddings. Our catering menu includes the Big Box O' Tacos (12 or 24) to build-your-own Bamba Bars, quesadilla and empanada packs, salads, bowls, wings, and churros by the dozen. Plus our fabulous house margarita mix, smoked pineapple margarita mix and del dia margarita mix for guests to create the cocktails at home. Individual taco boxes are available for groups of 20 to 250. Order or inquire online, and a manager will follow up within 24 hours.

Do you do private events?

We can accommodate private events on a case-by-case basis — reach out to our catering and events team to talk through what's possible.
